So, I got my Mirena put in this morning at about 11. Apart me having to actually do the insertion part twice, because the pain caused me to jerk away before she got it released, all went fairly well.
The pain at insertion wasn't exceedingly horrendous, more a couple short, very sharp, cramps. However, right now, it really hurts. I took 800mg of ibuprofen before I went in, as well as some muscle relaxers. A few hours later, at home, took some Vicodin.
Any particular pieces of advice for rapidly getting this pain to ease?
